No anode water heater - My RV Talk

How does water get heated without an anode rod in the water heating unit?

If you want warm water, then you'll have to somehow heat the water before you pour it into the tank. Or hooking up an RV water heater is a whole 'nother project.

Get Your RV Ready for Spring

    So the bloody plumbers can make a packet.

    had it put in sixteen months ago.

    So that people can have hot water, quickly and on demand. Plus, if the water were piped from another source, it would take a huge amount of money to keep it hot all the way to your house.

    What nags at me more is whjy so many call them “HOT water heaters.”

    Maybe because not all water heaters make water “hot”. Some just make warm water. At the other extreme you have boilers which make steam. Some water heaters simply keep water from freezing.

    I would tend to agree with you… If the water is hot already why the need to heat it?
    I this the actual term for the appliance is “Water Heater”.
    Not “Hot Water Heater”
    It has always been a pet peeve of mine. Similar to Garbage disposal.
    Who puts garbage in their sink?
