No anode water heater - My RV Talk
How does water get heated without an anode rod in the water heating unit?
If you want warm water, then you'll have to somehow heat the water before you pour it into the tank. Or hooking up an RV water heater is a whole 'nother project.
RV.Net Blog Admin. As Betty and I travel from park to park we try and check to see if the swimming pools and hot tubs have drain guards in place.
Run the hot water to get the bleach through the water heater. Then drain the freshwater tank. Refill, along with 1/4 of baking soda per 15 gallons.

So that people can have hot water, quickly and on demand. Plus, if the water were piped from another source, it would take a huge amount of money to keep it hot all the way to your house.

Ideally they should be cold water heaters or simply water heaters.

Actually the fact doesn’t make “me” think, though I’m sure some might.
What nags at me more is whjy so many call them “HOT water heaters.”

Maybe because not all water heaters make water “hot”. Some just make warm water. At the other extreme you have boilers which make steam. Some water heaters simply keep water from freezing.

I would tend to agree with you… If the water is hot already why the need to heat it?
I this the actual term for the appliance is “Water Heater”.
Not “Hot Water Heater”
It has always been a pet peeve of mine. Similar to Garbage disposal.
