Why do people call water heaters “hot water heaters”?

Well if you had a cold water heater it wouldnt do you much good now would it. and then a regular water heater would only get you half way, so you need the hot to complete the equation, hope this clears it up =)

Depends on the temperature settings.. you can get hot or you can get lukewarm out of that appliance. ..
Maybe there is a few people that don’t get the term ‘water heater’ just like they don’t get it when they buy a cup of coffee its going to be hot. Then they have sue because they say they didn’t know and need an imprint on the cup to say contents is HOT!
